Selena Gomez released her third full-length Studio album on 10 Jan 2020,mostly based on the themes of empowerment, self love and acceptance, reflecting the past of Selena Gomez. It was released after 5 years later than her previous album Revival. The total length of Rare album is 41.51 including deluxe edition.

Rare album was promoted by four singles 

1.LOSE YOU TO LOVE ME (23 -OCT 2019) - This song is her first no. 1 song in the United States and attained top 10 position in 35 countries. Also nominated for grammy Awards. 

2.LOOK AT HER NOW.(24-OCT 2019) -Second single reached no. 30 in the U.S Billboard chart , entered 40 charts across the globe and it attained top 10 position in 5 countries. 

3.RARE (10-JAN-2020).-- It was released alongside With the album, entered 40 charts across the world and attained top 10 position in 2 countries. 

4.BOYFRIEND(9-April-2020) --It was released alongside with Deluxe edition, entered over 23 charts and reached top -10 in 2 countries.

This Album is sold about 900k -1 million copies till this date.

MY REVIEW 

Selena released her most awaited album this year after 5 years kinda gift for Selenators. We can see maturity in her vocals, improved lyrics and production styles. Her singles such as look at her now, Boyfriend and Rare are very catchy but  lyrically  simple too. Her lead single lose you to love me is a perfect balled  sold 9 millions copies till this date.This ballad is lyrically reflecting her spoiled relationship with Justin Bieber. Promoting singles such as kinda crazy is about Charlie puth. In people you know she is showing that how people left her when they met new people. Cut you off could be better but still it is better than yummy yummy. According to me whole album is refreshing with catchy beats. Yes this album is underrated on charts and need more recognisation. Most of reflecting personal problems and how to overcome these problems. My personal favorite are A sweetner place, Vulnerable, people you know, She and kinda crazy

2.HIGH ROAD BY KESHA.

Kesha released her fourth studio album tilted High road on 31 January 2020 , 2 years later than her comeback album Rainbow.This album is based on various themes such as family, friends, optimism relationships and self empowerment. 

Singles - 

1.RAISING HELL (19 -oct 2019) . - This song have featuring vocals from Big freeda, entered 14 charts and attained Top-30 position in 8 countries 

2.MY OWN DANCE(21-NOV-2019). This song addresses her changed public image and lyrically it seems that she is not going back to her old singing styles. 

3.RESENTMENT-It is a country and ballad song which reflects toxic relationships. 

4.TONIGHT (28 JAN-2020) - This song's lyrics reflect celebrating theme ie celebrate all the things that you have.

MY REVIEW 

No doubt her vocal ability is increasing and she has shown us with this album what' she is really capable of. She is completely indulged in her new styles. Let's talk about her single, her 4th single Tonight was commercially underrated  but it deserves more. This song is very impressive vocally as well as lyrically. It is a perfect blend of church influence and club hip hop. I can experience 6 styles in one particular song. This album covered different themes. She defined her old party person well. This album have music diversity, lyrical , emotional and sentimental heights and depths.At some places the hip hop blend was annoying but this album delivers many pure and wise stuff.For many reasons it is nominated for grammy awards.

My verdict FOR HIGH ROAD -75/100
